Pete Minton

Pete Minton serves as Chief Operating Officer for Taylors Construction, Inc. During high school, he worked summers for T.H. Nichols Line Contractor, Inc., Grundy, VA, as a groundman on the powerline crews. He then began full-time in the Spring of 1981 where he worked as a groundman on the telephone crews. From 1982 to 1984 he worked as a Lineman/Foreman for telephone work. From 1984-1987 he worked with I&R Cutover.

In 1987, Pete began working as a Copper and Fiber Optics Splicer for Nichols Construction, Inc. and Nichols Line, Inc., Vansant, VA. In 1990 he became an Area Supervisor to oversee the South Carolina and West Virginia Operations. He was a Safety Director for the same company from 1995-1996. From 1996 to 2008, he was Area Supervisor. His duties included project manager for 250 miles of ADSS fiber placement from Columbus, OH to Wheeling, WV for American Electric Power consisting of aerial, buried, underground and directional boring. Also, served as project manager for 50 miles of fiber optic cable from Roanoke to Lynchburg, VA along with multiple other large projects.

From 2008 to 2020, Pete was responsible for Nichols Managers for Verizon, Shentel & TDS in the state of Virginia and Frontier Communications in Tennessee and West Virginia. He served as Vice President of Outside Operations for Nichols Construction from 2009-2020.

In March 2020 he became the Director of Telecommunications at Raw Utility and Energy Services, LLC, Princeton, WV.

He joined Taylor’s Construction, Inc. in October 2022 as Chief Operating Officer
